Salvaje 90 days Challenge: An honest review For the first time I heard about the WILDFIT 90-DAY CHALLENGE in 2018, seeing the founder of Mindvalley, Vishen Lakhiani, talk about the impressive results he had experienced. In early 2019, my boyfriend and I decided to jump! We finished the Wildfit 90-day Challenge at the end of May 2019. I would like to start with a summary of the pros and cons, based on my personal experience with the program. Later in this article, I will immerse myself more in our experience and how we feel now that 3 months have passed since the end of the program. PROS del Wildfit 90-Day Challenge1. Improve your food consciousness and your mentality I thought I was already quite aware and aware of food, eating and how my body feels as a result. Well, this program took me to the next LEVEL! I pay much more attention to health feelings in the real way. And I think this is essential: you have an amazing TOOL to make your diet ever better! This is what I would call a "Food-Awareness-Feedback-loop" (FAF). Tasty? Well, yes, very often this is what I think the food will be! Now that I pay more attention to this, I wonder: "How was the last time you ate it?" I'm addicted to sugar. But guess what: while I find some delicious sweets, others are not worth the problem. For example, I love the delicious chocolate soufflés or crême brûlées. Even some types of homemade cookies. But I really don't like most chocolate or creamy cakes. But it's SUGAR. So, very often, my mind deceives me to want it anyway. Because "at least it's sugar." By being more aware of this, I could concentrate more on ELIMINATING the foods that are bad for me anyway. Now I'm going more for quality. Happiness? Stress relief? Or any feelings related to my past? I am more aware of the fact that commercials, nostalgia and other emotions are the biggest contributors to my POSITIVE ASSOCIATION WITH BAD FOODS. It's amazing how much progress I've made thanks to the Wildfit Challenge to realize what I'll really get from the food at the end. White bread is a good example. I had a very positive association in terms of flavor and nostalgia with it. You see, I grew up in France, where "baguette" is the queen of every meal. Now, however, when I look at the white bread, I see EMPTY FOOD. I will still do so, especially when I visit my family, but I do not want it and I would not buy it myself.eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-medrectangle-4','ezslot_6',110','0'ect]);eval(ez_write_tag([250,250thamult] I realized how many foods weren't so tasty for me. My food expectation was much more delinquent than the actual body. Of course, some unhealthy foods still feel absolutely delicious. But... Since then I have noticed other sensations that come with them, which are not so great. When I eat sweets, like high-quality chocolate or ice cream, I now notice a bit of scratch and burn in my throat and mouth. And that's amazing because THIS REMINED ME there and then those foods are literally making me sick when I get over it. Some foods seem delicious at first, but halfway there is nothing special at best. I'm trying to be more aware of this now. This is a good tool as we usually eat what they present to us on our plate without thinking about it. That helps food like pizza! The first bite is delicious. Halfway you start to feel really FULL. But after eating a full pizza, it feels bad! Healthy foods are attracted to youUsing consciousness-feeding-feeding-feeding will not only bring much clarity I realized how amazing and important greens are for me. Now, I crossed the salines and the green smoothies. I know how they help clean up my system and get rid of bad things. And I can literally feel the "belief" of my body when I eat them. In addition, the program helps to change your TASTE. It starts to notice more flavors. And your preferences change. You start to like some vegetables that didn't matter to you before. I started finding CUCUMBERS really, really sweet! And now I'm turning around to CHICORÉE.3. The program does a good job to teach you the logic behind your approach. I found that the Wildfit Challenge was a very stimulating program. Instead of receiving instructions, you get a lot of videos and documents to dive in WHY you should or should not eat something. In addition, weekly calls help you get DIRECT contact with the Wildfit team. You can ask your questions and talk about how you feel. I haven't been personally attending them, but I could always see the repetition. And it helped me enormously to see that I often had the same struggles and questions as others. Not to mention motivating responses and feedback to it.4. The Logic Behind Wildfit makes sense Of course, it is hard to say if the logic behind Wildfit is scientifically legitimate for a non-expert of the field like me. But I have to admit that most of what Eric Edmeades (the creator of Wildfit) says, even when it's just a hypothesis, it really appeals to my logical brain. And YES "CENTIFIFIC Truth" Or NO, this is very important because of the placebo effect: you have to believe in the program to work at its best. So there is a bonus point for that!eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-banner-1','ezslot_15',112,'0','0']);5. There is no AbsoluteVery often during the program, participants are trying to get ABSOLUTE answers to their food decisions. And although it is often easier to simply get a "yes" or "no", life is more complicated than this. The Wildfit program forces you to discover what is good for you and stop relying too much on external sources. Of course, it gives you a lot of guidance. But Eric Edmeades makes it clear that everything is an experiment. So, while you're learning and feeling healthier progressively, that's great. The SEASONAL approach of the Wildfit Challenge fits well into this philosophy, which I like. According to this, it is all that DETEN you expose your body to a certain meal. SUGAR, in the form of honey, fruits and sweet vegetables, for example, is NOT a body of the disease in it. But if you eat it daily, it can become a burden for certain parts or organs of your body. And the same goes through healthy bodies. Eating a lot of a vegetarian every day can also become a burden. That is why a seasonal rotation makes sense (but again, I have not checked science behind this).6. You feel remarkable health benefitsBooks I love... This was also the case for me. The first thing I noticed was how best. It recovered the color (it was beginning to turn grey) and all skin imperfections almost completely disappeared. That's something that's never happened in my life until then. My ENERGY LEVELS rose to a halt all the time if you consider the last 3 years or so. I thought it was normal to be tired very often. Sometimes to the point that you can hardly think about it, but they're close to sleeping. He was having "after casualties" of about 3 hours. I thought this fatigue, as well as my gray skin, was normal and age-related (after all, I hit 30 almost 3 years ago). But while in "deep spring" as they call the Wildfit Challenge, after 2 weeks I started to feel full of energy and needed much less sleep at night. Finally, but not least, I was completely able to identify some cold intolerance, which has been causing me a lot of pain for about 10 years. Much better yet, I have found that if I eat enough vegetables and leaf salads, even if I eat some of the food that I am intolerant, I feel NOT PAIN IN ALL! In that regard, I must say that in my case, the 90-Day Savage Challenge resolved almost all my health problems (seems).7. (MOST) People lose weight Many people lose weight during the Wildfit Challenge. Most start to see changes of 6 or 7 weeks in the program, but of course it is very individual. So how much weight will you lose in 90 days? Unfortunately, there is no clear answer to this. I personally lost about 3-4 kilograms of fat. And I'd say that I could have lost more weight I hadn't started to tie on the nuts. Since then I have improved the whole process and I feel more in (healthy) control of my weight. I feel like I finally know how my body works and why it works like that! This, for me, means MENOS FightING CONTRA MY Body and MORE GIVING IT WHAT I NECESS, while scraping the good side benefits from it.eval(ez_write_tag([300,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-large-mobile-banner-2', back'ezslot_8',115,'0',s-first) And the best thing is that the "extra effort" now feels good, as my body starts to yearn for it when I have been exaggerating otherwise!8. Wildfit is incredibly motivating, so you take care of eating in a very different wayWith all the videos, the community, the live calls... You are incredibly motivated and most people adhere to the challenge until the end. Which means you manage to change the way you eat almost completely (for most of us). This is not easy, but the Wildfit 90-Day Challenge helps you get progressively, as your tasting friends start working differently.9. Wildfit gives you good tools to manage and make a plan for the futureI want to emphasize this point, as it is very important! 90 Days is enough for you to weigh in knowledge and climb up. I feel like I've completely absorbed the information. I'm rarely going to check my notes or Wildfit material. And above that, I have my own rules that keep moving. I keep the expectation and iteration. And it definitely feels like PROGRESS. CONS of the Wildfit 90-Day Challenge1. The Wildfit is generally very expensiveThe Wildfit 90-day Challenge is expensive in itself. I bought it through Mindvalley with a discount. But still, the program was still quite expensive and I thought about it for 4-5 months before I decided to jump. Also, if you want to follow the program as best you can, you will also be very likely to need money to buy high quality food. To improve your health through food – which is the goal of the Wildfit Challenge – you are recommended to buy organic ingredients. And since at some point you will be eating a lot of animal vegetables and proteins, and completely cutting in cheap things (e.g. pasta, rice, bread...), this will also make your expenses increase. I'd say everything was worth it. But unfortunately, many people could not even afford to try it.eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-mobile-leaderboard-1','ezslot_18',116,'0','0']);2. Although you can definitely make the Wildfit 90-Day Challenge vegetarian or vegan, it will probably be MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. Many types of food are cut that will affect vegetarians and vegans. As mentioned above, grains will be cut, and all vegetarian or vegan products similar to meat are not really recommended... Normally you are supposed to eat enough animal protein in "spring". And this helps bring more diversity into your meals. Cutting this additional element is really difficult and can be frustrating and cause cravings. However, it is still feasible and I would still say it is worth trying.3. You have to be dedicated and invest a lot of timeIf you want to make Wildfit's 90-day Challenge, you really have to live and spend a lot of time on it. There are many videos to watch and some materials to read. And at some point, you'll have to get ready. Outside food probably does not meet the requirements, even in places that are considered healthy restaurants. Everything will take extra time because you're new to this. The SHOPPING GROCERY will be made longer because it is being scanned through all the food in your supermarket until you realize that you can only eat about 5% of the processed food there (which is not yet recommended but can be tolerated in certain conditions). Then you will finally discover 2-3 meals that work for you and you can cook easily. But after a couple of days, you will feel bored and you will have to look for creative alternatives again, so spend a lot of time in the process again. We were lucky to be able to invest time to learn all this. And we thought it was worth it. But it's REALIZAR and I, for my part, still fall off it when I get kicked out of my routine and home.5. It is not a "Miracle" Pill as some can expect Although the results that most people seem to have with Wildfit are exciting, it is not a MIRACLE solution. Work is required and after the 90-day challenge, progress will still have to be made. 3 months are not enough to change a lifetime of habits! For example, I still have cravings. A lot! My cravings have changed and some foods do not appeal to me any more (which I consider to be a great progress!). But I'm still a sugar addict and when I'm allowed, you'll have trouble limiting me. That's why I also recovered almost all my weight lost during the summer holidays. I ate a lot of sugar, bread and cheese, and drunk wine. On the positive side, I have made so much progress and NOW FINALLY UNDERSTAND Why does my body put in weight, my skin gets worse and I feel tired all the time. So after the holidays, I'm back on "spring" and my goal is to simply improve my long-term relationship of being inside and outside Wildfit. How I felt during the programBefore starting the challenge: I had been. And, therefore, he was very motivated to try something new and move another step forward. I'd been thinking about doing the program for a few months and I was more than ready to start. During the challenge: For me, each phase was a challenge in itself. At first, I wanted to go a lot faster than planned by the program. I would have liked to jump one step or two! It was quite difficult to contain the enthusiasm and to beat the Wildfit Challenge. Then the changes came, which become increasingly difficult every week. I was very happy with any of them. As each step meant to move forward and try something new. But keeping the maximum Wildfit "deep spring," one of the programs said "temporal" was definitely challenging. I'd say the lack of diversity made it difficult. We found 3-4 meals that were working and glued to them. After a while, it becomes boring and is definitely not so easy to always find easy to make quick alternatives. But we managed to keep it. And after a bit, we saw the changes. It surprised us and was so motivating that we would like to stay in this season of Wildfit much longer.eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-leader-4','ezslot_16',118,'0','0']);In the end of the challenge: At the end of the Wildfit eating 90-Day Challenge, I felt so amazing that I was going on. Besides, I had to identify different categories of food and sort out what I was eating for myself. This part became very interesting. Before the program, my absolute ADDICTION was for any kind of sweets. And as an extension to this, I had an addiction to pasta or any kind of white carbohydrates (pan, potatoes) as a substitute. I also liked cheese, especially Parmigiano. After the program, of all the foods considered unhealthy that I longed for before, only 3 meals remained interesting for me: high quality sweets, coffee and good wine. I was really surprised! Who would have thought I would not lose PASTA, BREAD, POTATOS and CHEESE? What we can say 3 months after finishing the programWe have finished the 90-day Challenge in May. Then came the summer... For me, it's the worst season when it comes to a healthy diet. There are so many temptations! A few days after the Wildfit Challenge ended, I went to Bucharest to visit a good friend of mine for a few days. When I arrived, we went straight to lunch together, in a pretty healthy place. However, they had a lot of good sandwiches and desserts, which would have been very attractive to me before making the challenge. But I didn't even feel like you were using it. I wanted sausages! However, this did not last long. I started testing one or the other dish that I wasn't meeting the Wildfit diet. And then a dessert. And I hooked up again. Now, my only way out of this sugar addiction was to just ban me from eating sweets and desserts. For me, they're in or out. And this works very well, as I have learned that a life without them is a healthier and happier life for me. And 2-3 weeks when I don't even think of them anymore.eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-leader-3','ezslot_14',119,'0','0'] This has remained the case even after Wildfit. Which means I've completely cut off the candies again, but, I'd say, not because of Wildfit in itself. With all the summer holidays, fun and moments with friends and family, I was very happy to see that my boyfriend and I managed to get home every time we returned home, or Mondays after a holiday weekend. We have the feeling that it's getting easier. We know what to eat, what to do. Now, we are able to accelerate the process and enter Ketosis much faster. We even know what will make the transition harder, and how it feels with low energy before Ketosis begins. For example, scoring sugar the day before will make me have headache when sugar is gone. I'll also feel a bit sad and slightly depressed. Now that I have identified it as related to sugar deprivation, I can deal better with this. And since I've decided to cut sweets, everything goes much smoother anyway. I have to love the process that LOVE this PROCESS and our bodies have begun to CUT THE BODY, especially when we begin to exaggerate while we are on vacation. We still find HARD TO SAY NO when we are on vacation or when friends and family are visiting. I, personally, also have problems going to a RESTAURANT.eval(ez_write_tag([250,250],'howtomakeithappen_com-large-mobile-banner-1','ezslot_1',120,'0','0']); I don't want to be the bothering person who asks for the full list of ingredients and ends up without eating sugar. Most of the time, when I get out, or I'll allow more flexibility, or SIMPLY won't TAR, but they stick to mineral or similar water. I found out that this bothers almost anyone, so it's a good alternative to me when I still feel like I'm full of Wildfit. We definitely want to keep control of death, but we see it as a technical product. So far, we also feel that we will never be the absolute Wildfitters. We want to continue to allow us a great wine and a varied restaurant meal from time to time. We just want to encourage the PROPORTION of healthy foods in our diet. Concluding Words We know that changing your habits is an ITERATIVE process, and we are extremely happy with the results! We also know that the results we want (i.e. better health) will not come without effort. But we're prepared to keep progression. We believe that Wildfit is an amazing program that gave us the feeling that we are now MASTERING THE TOOLS to get there at our own speed. Books I love... My boyfriend and I have been trying to do it on "vegetarian mode" (my boyfriend wants to reduce her consumption of animal products) and it was hard. Personally, I'm still excited about all the positive changes that WildFit brought to me, but I see it more as a general guideline and try to fit my personal lifestyle in a sustainable way. So, in general, Eric says it's good to eat vegan for most of the time. Apparently, he was vegan for years and came to the conclusion that it is a great way to live, but that one should eat some meat/fish/eggs from time to time. However, there is a longer phase in the Wildfit 90-day challenge where it would be eaten in a more extreme way than what is recommended in the long term. I think that's where vegans and vegetarians fight a lot. I guess to answer your question, the Wildfit team deals with the issue and tries to find suggested work solutions. However, I am not sure how good a solution they are, as I did not have to implement them myself. I would like to understand why it is so difficult for a vegetarian/vegetarian dining room to make this program. I guess there's no beans or tofu or tempeh, there's no more than the meat products you can choose. How do you get the protein? Eat eggs but not fish or meat. I'd love to hear more about this and I'd like to know how to board protein intake as a vegetarian who eats yogurt and a little goat and eggs cheese. The most vegan of the opposite. So, as I've mentioned very often, I'm not in any way a professional in the area, all I know is to read a few books, test programs and personal experience. When it comes to proteins, one thing in the program speaks is that we tend to overestimate the amount of protein our body really needs. And, apparently, there are many vegetables and plants (such as nuts and spinach, apparently) out there that cover our proteins needs very well. I must say that I am listening/reading this opinion more and more often, even from scientific/medical literature (but I am not a doctor, scientist or expert so this is just my general impression). When doubted, it would make sense to make the diet change under medical supervision, with regular checks with your doctor. You can tell if your blood levels and other physical indicators are moving in the right direction or not 🙂 To better answer your question, you are absolutely correct, normally Wildfit recommends to take beans, tofu, etc. out of the diet, at least for some time during the challenge. That's one of the reasons why it can be harder to do for vegetarians/vegans, because diet change seems much more radical and much less diverse, as you don't have as many food options left. It seems you've already implemented a lot of tips similar to the wild – but, so you're describing, not all yet. First of all, I would love to know what you mean by "minimum fruit". You mean a fruit a day or once a week? In addition, Wildfit is not simply about eating Keto, it is more about eating "seasonally". The program explicitly mentions that staying "keto" all the time is probably as bad as eating sugar all the time... That's just an element.
